The 201.582 AT30S AM-SW Variable Attenuator is designed to be the only adjustment in a typical Naval Electronics AB Radio/TV Entertainment System. When sailing at sea,
the attenuator should be adjusted with its knob (center bottom above) counter clockwise for minimum attenuation. When in port and in the vacinity of strong local AM signals, the adjustment knob should be adjusted for
best picture by rotating the knob toward full attenuation, or clockwise. This attenuation does not affect the voltage going to the antenna nor does it attenuate TV-FM signals. It is normally located near the radio/TV
amplifier in the antenna coaxial cable run. Its location is indicated in the complimentary preliminary drawings we normally provide to prospective customers for their new systems in the planning stages. |
