LCD electronics have revolutionized the electronics industry as a whole. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screens have spawned numerous applications such as hand held devices and high-definition televisions. They have been one of the most important innovations in the electronics industry.

LCD electronics can be directly linked to the explosion in popularity of hand-held devices such as mp3 players and today’s mobile phones. Without this technology, many of these devices wouldn’t exist. Their crystal clear picture, even in the smallest of displays, makes them perfect for these devices.

Perhaps one of the most popular uses for LCD electronics is the television. High-definition televisions can be made with plasma displays, but LCD’s are less expensive to manufacturer and as such less expensive for the average person to own. This has made them extremely popular with the general public.
